I have a Asus G73JH and just changed the primary drive to a 240GB SSD. I also put in a 1TB Seagate Hard Drive (Model SGBD1000100)in the secondy drive bay but the Bios does not see it.

So i took the 1TB drive out andI put my old 500GB Hard Drive in and the Bios recognizes it on Sata Port 4.

Does the SATA controller that's in this laptop not support 1TB drives or are there some sort of additional update i need to install?

I've already flashed the bios and upgraded it to version 213, even tried updating the vBios just to see if it would help and neither worked.

I can hook up the 1TB drive to a USB to SATA adapter and the bios and windows see's it just fine.

Would it matter if the bios setting is set for AHCI or IDE? The primary SSD was setup using AHCI so I cannot go back to IDE or it will corrupt the OS.

Any help on this would be appreciated. I would like to have the additional space if possible.
