when ever i start playing a pc game doesnt matter which one it is the temperature of my video card rises to 60 degrees celsius at which point im assuming the fan on the video card gets pretty loud looking at asus ai suite it says 1 of the fans in my computer is running at 16500 rpm is there any way to fix it or is this a sign of my video card starting to go bad
Hi, What card are you using, what games are we talking and at what resolution? 60 Celsius isn't really that bad. Maybe it's time to take it out, clean it out and re-apply the thermal compound. I average in the mid to high 50's in just about every game.
i think the source of the fan noise is from a chasis fan that stopped working once i put in a new power supply i got yesterday i went ahead and just unplugged it from the motherboard and got my gpu temp up to 58 and there was no loud noise
my video card is a gtx 550ti and resolution is at 1600X900 lately i have mainly been playing hearthstone and counterstrike global offensive which to me doesnt seem to be demanding enough to raise my gpu temp to 58-60
