I have a single gtx 760 2gb model and an amd fx 6300. I am seriously considering another gtx 760 and an fx 8350 to go along with the two gpus. I really want to get more performance and run at higher resolutions. Would i be able to combine a gtx 760 2gb model with a 4 gb model? Or will 2 2gb models be able to play games at 1440p resolution? The performnce of two gtx 760s is much better than the $ 700 ti and the 1000$ titan.

I don't think you can mix and match Vram. Me thinks you need two cards with identical specs for SLI to work. They don'd have to be the same brand or have the same cooler but they do need to have the same amount of on board memory. Also at 1440p you might consider the 4Gb variant . I don't know what you have your CPU clocked at but a overclock to the 4.0 plus range will certainly help prevent bottleneck.

I would get a new cpu if im upgrading to 2 gpus. But you don't think the gtx 760s couldnt get decent frames in 1440p?
