Hi there,

This is my first computer build, I've done some research along the way, but when diving deeper it all gets confusing.

Planned Usage: Mostly playing World of Warcraft on Ultra settings, while using vent/mumble and having websites opened. Some web surfing (daily use type stuff). I would like to Overclock the CPU to 4.3Ghz-ish (maybe 4.5Ghz if i get lucky) for every day use. Seeing that WoW is primary CPU based, I was thinking about going for a i7-4770k, but I don't know if it is really necessary for this application or would provide a greater benefit then the i5.

Planned budget: I was aiming around $1,200, but I see now I might have to go higher.

Part needed:
What I was thinking:
Memory- Corsair Vengeance 16GB(2x8GB) DDR-3 1600 CL 9 (http://http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-memory-cmz16gx3m2a1600c9) I was reading that 16BG doesn't seem to make a difference for gaming and thus thinking that only 8GB would be suffice and make no real difference in the performance of WoW and daily use activities. Please remember that i plan to OC to 4.3-4.5 Ghz so i'm not sure exactly which memory speed i need or how to figure it out. I would like to get 8GBs, but only if it means I'm not going to need 16GB in like 1-2 years. If that is the case, I'll just get 16GBs now.

Video Card - This one i was lost, originally i was thinking the EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4GB (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp43768kr) but, after some reading 4GB seems useless seeing that I'm not going to SLI and that WoW only uses around 50% of the GPU. I wanted something, that can play wow @ ultra with great FPS, but there are so many choices and I'm not sure which route to go or what I'm looking for in a GPU to meet my needs. Any reference material would be great on how to choose a graphic card.

Power Supply: While I'm sure the Current PSU is suffice, i was looking for a white one(to match the inside of the case), but couldn't find one that wasn't overkill for this build.NZXT makes them in white but there rated at 750watts+. If anyone knows a good brand that make a white colored one. please feel free to add it so i can check it out.

Assuming you don't need a monitor or OS, try this.

Also, if you don't plan on adding a second GPU EVER, or a sound card, capture card, etc, consider getting a mITX build. it is cheaper, and has built-in wifi.

Hey,
thanks for getting back so quickly.

I'm set up for AC WiFi so wanted to take advantage of the extra bandwidth and not bottleneck it with a g/b/n adapter.

After reviewing what you've posted, Possibly, you grazed over the part where I was seeking information on parts/ input needed from the community and posted builds that changed some of the key features i was looking for, such as the case. It's OK, as I welcome new perspectives on parts, for me i just like a little explanation as to why this part and not that one. If it's just price then I suppose no explanation is necessary.

Like i said, if you have any links i can read up on this stuff then feel free to post them.

I do appreciate the fact that you've addressed the the RAM problem for me, but I'll have to do more reading to make sure that 2133 is the right speed to go since I'm overclocking. Why did you go CAS 10 and not 9? I was reading that a lower CA is better, but I'm sure no one could tell the difference between CAS, unless doing benchmarking and not actually playing. Also, what about 16GB instead? would that help normal day to day activities more then 8GBs?

I did also notice you went with a different GFX card. Can I ask what would be the difference between a 770GTX and a slightly cheaper 760GTX? Am i really going to see that much of an improvement in world of Warcraft if i go with the one you've recommended?

Sorry for all the questions, I've been doing some reading and I'll continue to do so.
