Hi guys, I want to build a new computer and I have a question, would the Intel Core i5-3570K still be a good choice or should I go with the Intel Core i5-4670K, or is something else from Intel going to come out soon? The Intel Core i5-3570K is getting older so I don't know if it would be good or not.

The i5 3570k would be a great upgrade if you already have an LGA1155 platform, but I cannot recommend beginning a build with it unless you get it on sale. Right now the 3570k is practically the same price as the 4670k, and the 4670k is quite a bit better.

Not a huge difference between the two. If you find a good deal on a 3570K and 1155 socket motherboard (z77), go for it. If they're close price wise, I'd grab the 4670K.

I agree with this. I favor the 4670K for new systems because the prices are about the same, and there's better motherboard selection (some of my favorite socket 1155 motherboards have been discontinued in favor of 1150 versions) but as raw performance goes the two CPUs are within a few percent of each other.
