Low Gamma On Samsung PN50C8000 Plasma

No matter what I do, on the TV or in the nvidia control panel I cannot get the Gamma above 1.2 on this TV. I crank the setting way up, no change, way down, no change. I don't really understand why this is. I have the nvidia control panel set to RGB and I'm sending the signal over HDMI. Does anyone know what could be going on here?

FYI I'm using the lagom test patterns to see my Gamma.

Does DVI send audio too? I did notice something strange, I calibrated the picture through windows so the blobs don't have any dots in the middle but as I was doing that the lagom test pattern hardly changed at all. What's up with that?
