It really depends on your budget. Photoshop will not stress your CPU much at all. Premiere pro and maya are very CPU hungry.

What type of work are you doing? Is it professional or hobby?

Right now, the FX 8320 is looking really good at $99 (microcenter). This could build you a PC under $1000 that can easily run your software and will do very well with Premiere Pro. Basically a $180 savings over a 4770K.

If you have a budget over $2000, then I recommend going with a 4930K. If your budget is even higher, then you can consider dual CPU configurations. Maya can take advantage of that.

If you have a sub $2000 budget, then you may as well go AMD. You can take the $180 savings and put it to a good GPU.
