can i run window 8 on intel core duo E4300

can i run window 8 on Intel core duo E4300 it doesn't support hardware visualization I want to run it within oracle's virtualbox if possible. and when i tried to run it says
"VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration is not available on your system. Certain guests (e.g. OS/2 and QNX) require this feature and will fail to boot without it."
when i tried to run it directly on pc without any virtual machine setup program doesn't show advanced option and want to replace my current os window 7 ultimate and does not show custom install option. it doesn't say about any error.
