i have an old pc with windows xp, and i want to give it to my sister, with windows 7 on it. i have the disk, but how do i erase the whole hard disk from the pc. i want it completly emty. what options are there?

when you install windows 7 delete all the partitions in advanced drive options and format the new partition you make for windows.

you can use ccleaner for a multiple pass delete/format but that's not needed in your case
