Will 530 Mhz RAM work with an Asus M5A97 R 2.0

I know a lot of you are probably cringing at 530Mhz, but I just simply want to know. I'm building a PC and wont have money for the last part, the RAM, for about a week. I have every other part though, and I was thinking I could take the RAM out of my pretty lackluster prebuilt. Would it work?

530Mhz x 2 = 1060MHz RAM.

That would be DDR2 most likely? If so then it won't work on that board.

No because it is most likely DDR2 and you have a board that needs DDR3.

Pl provide RAM complete info so that accurate answer can be provided. DDR3 boards can't run DDR2 RAMs unless it is specified by the manufacturer.

If it is DDR3 it should work! 1066 is supported http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/#specifications presuming you got the 530 from CPU-Z which shows half.
