Hi
I just assembled a new rig, I bought i5 4670k and gtx 780 and 8gb ram, I am happy with my build, something that annoys me is the monitor I just bought, I didn't know TN panel shifts colors from the top to the bottom, when I choose a solid color as desktop background , I can see this vividly, the top is dark and bottom is light, what would you do, if you were me? Do you think, I should borrow some money and get an ips monitor or live with the TN? :( :( :( please help me decide

If you want true black, don't bother with IPS at all. None of them can really give you a good black. Since OLED monitors haven't really become commercially available afaik (aside from maybe a few that try to fool you by using an OLED as the backlight), look for an AMVA panel (another panel type ending in VA should be almost as good). Viewing angles might not be quite as good as IPS, but still a lot better than TN.
What model TN panel monitor did you buy? VA or IPS monitors aren't always hideously more expensive than TN panels, especially if you're willing to consider cPVA and E-IPS panels. If I know what model monitor you've got, I can try to look for an inexpensive VA/IPS monitor at the same size and resolution, and then you can decide whether you can afford it, and possibly RMA the TN monitor.

Thank you for responding, I have no way to RMA this thing, I have to put it aside and wait for an opportunity to sell it as a second-hand product, it is an LG W2261V... what would you do if you were me?

I'm not sure how much luck you'll have selling that TN panel. It's apparently old enough that it's hard to find how much it retails for new - I found one on Google Shopping UK that lists the price as £220.00 (about 367.53 US Dollar when I put it in Google, also the link gives me "403 Forbidden" so the validity is questionable) which is a bit ridiculous given it doesn't have much to distinguish it from other TN panel monitors (e.g. some monitors have 120hz for 3d support, or gimmicks that claim to improve the viewing angles of a TN panel). When I search on eBay, the closest I can find is parts for that monitor.

Personally, I haven't been bothered by the viewing angles on TN panels, but that might be because I'm partially colorblind. I imagine it would make a bigger difference if I was going to set up multiple monitors in portrait orientation, though. I mostly look for high-resolution screens. If somebody built a 31.5-inch TN panel 3840x2160 60Hz monitor and got the price below $1000, I'd seriously consider it. It seems like it bothers you a lot though, so I suggest you consider this model:

Ok, I gave it some thought, forget about the TN, I can't live with it, whether or not I can sell it or not, I am moving to IPS, but I am not that lucky, where I live these two models are available for this size
ASUS - 22" - VX229H - LED - IPS
LG 23EA63V IPS 23 inch LED Monitor
The Asus one is better for my budget, but I don't want to sacrifice quality this time, which one do you think is better, I need pure black and not gray, as I have heard, some ips panels can't generate true black, I think this is the main concern, if none are ok, gimme a list, I need to go to market and find one. thank you, thank you so much for the time
