Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Ewww... 10/100Mbps? What sort of system is this with a 10/100Mbps connection? It sounds very old.

I am assuming your taking the ethernet cable and connecting from this 'email' server to the switch or router right? When you connect the cable do you get any 'lights' in either end to show you have a solid connection? If you take a laptop and use the SAME cable connected to that same port on the switch / router does it work then?

If the cable, switch/router work perfectly fine on THAT port the wire connects on, then the issue can be either hardware of the EMAIL server or OS (software). Download RUN SPECCY at that point and copy / paste the info from the tab. Might be as easy as uninstalling all Nvidia drivers, run Driver Sweeper, reboot, run Slim Drivers to pull down the newest drivers done, to requiring the whole OS be reloaded to the mobo is slowly failing and your PC will be dead soon.

Hi! Thanks for the reply! That's just what came either the pc, could this possibly be wrong and that is causing a compatibility problem?(the current setup is around 4 years old now). EMAIL is just the name of the pc, but that's another story.

Both ends are showing that there is a connection however on the pc end the light is orange rather than green as it used to be when there wasn't a problem.

I have already tried removing and reinstalling nvidia drivers to no avail.

I did have this problem a couple of years ago as well but it was an easy fix (disabling and then re-enabling the NIC).

I'll try your suggestions now and let you know the results.

Thanks!
