my cpu is running at 90 degrees and i need a thermal paste quick but i know this might sound stupid but is toothpaste a good replacement because i have seen a few vids on youtube

Just go out to a local PC store, or just do something else while you wait for shipping. You don't -have- to be using your PC while you wait for new thermal paste.

What CPU + cooler are you using and are you over clocking? Pl always provide complete info when starting thread.

i am using amd 6600k and i am using the heatsink and cpu fan and no overclock

Then it is time to apply thermal paste again and buy new stock cooler. No need to spend extra bucks unless problem is not resolved. Else you can go for CM Hyper Evo 212 but check the case dimensions to see if it can be fitted in the case

If the 212 won't fit a TX3 is a good alternative for that CPU as well.
