No signal to monitor after installing new CPU?

I was really torn whether to put this in the graphics section or the CPU section but this seemed to fit more. Sorry if that is incorrect.

Specs:
SiUnIMJ.png

Motherboard:
Gigabyte GA-F2A85XM-D3H AMD Socket FM2 A85X (Hudson D4) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Motherboard
New CPU:
AMD A10-6800K Richland 4.1GHz (4.4GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 100W Quad-Core Desktop Processor - Black Edition AMD Radeon HD 8670D

I was having issues with my previous CPU overheating for seemingly no reason. (seen in picture above) I went through every possible solution that I could find through the web and suggestions from people who are more tech smart than me but had no luck. As a last ditch effort I got a new cooler which unfortunately didn't help.

I decided to purchase a new one but I've run into some problems with the installation. Everything went fine until I went to turn on the PC. My monitor said it was getting no signal. I tried another cable and monitor but still got the same thing.

After doing some research I realized that the CPU is probably not compatible with the version of my BIOS (I've never updated this and according to the Gigabyte website the version 3 adds compatibility for Richland CPUs if I remember correctly) To fix this I reseated the old CPU so I could get online and download the update.

The problem is, now the monitor is getting no signal with the old CPU installed. I usually try to sort this thing out for myself but I'm really at a loss this time. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to start?

If it helps at all I was using my PC nearly all day today with no issues (outside of the CPU temp running way too high for comfort if I did anything outside of light browsing) until I made the switch. The only changes made inside the case were removing the heatsink, removing thermal paste from the heat sink, removing the old cpu, inserting the new cpu, applying paste to the cpu, and reseating the heatsink before closing it back up.

If I didn't include enough details or this is confusing I apologize. If there's anything information that I left out that would help, let me know and I'll try to add it if I can.

I had the same problem after installing a new processor. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that I bent some of the pins in the CPU socket (LGA1150). Apparently these are very delicate. Bought a new mobo and all is well. Lesson learned the hard way.

When you boot your computer now dose the motherboard speaker sound. Or dose your system just light up with the fans spinning. Also just as a caution check your cpu pins to ensure there clean and not bent. This just could be a cause of thermal paste covering the pins or a pin being broken.
