I have settled on these parts and want a second opinion from you guys. A graphics card well be added later on in a couple of months. Maybe nVidia Maxwell? Happy to hear your suggestions on that also. I play strategy games the most of the time.

cooler master silencio 352
asrock z87m extreme4 mATX
intel i5 4670k
arctic freezer i30
corsair rm 750w
crusial m500 240 gb
crucial ballistix elite 1866 mhz ddr3 8 gb

I know that the crusial m500 240 gb is a slower SSD than Samsung Evo but it's 50 $ cheaper. (I live in Denmark). I'm on a budget so i think it's reasonable.

Thanks for the help in advance,
Daniel

Only see two things standing out about that build.

1) 750W is way too much for that PC (even with a R9 290X) - I'd suggest better brand/build quality ~600W for similar $.

2) Ram - you NEED to get a matched set of sticks. Ok, "need" is a little strong - but as 2x4GB is the same money for twice the bandwidth (and same total memory)... plus as non-matched pairs often have issues at higher timings (if planning on +8gb later)... I'd suggest a kit of 2 (or 4) sticks of 4/8GB for a total of 8/16GB ram.

Lostredneck: I was thinking about the GTX 770, and R9 280X or a "cheap" R9 290 (which is a bit cheaper in Denmark, I know that's not case everywhere) - which brand would you suggest? Noise is a factor. It could perhaps also be reasonable to wait for nvidia to launch Maxwell in Q2?

menetlaus: 1) Yeah I know! The technicians that will help me build the PC really wanted to put in a rm 750 w. They mentioned stability and noise as reasons for the Corsair rm 750w? Any alternatives coming to mind? 2) It's a kit - 2x4. Any other thoughts on the crucial ballistix elite 1866 mhz?

I did go for this build in the end, and I am quite happy about it. There is one thing that you need to think about though if you are considering these parts. The arctic freezer i30, the asrock z87m extreme 4 (and maybe other mATX mobo) and the crucial ballistix elite 1866 ddr3 2x4 (8gb) is not an ideal combination. The arctic freezer i30 is very big and is actually blocking the first ram socket on the mobo, if you are using a high profile ram type like the crucial ballistix elite. I have currently my ram in socket 2 and 4. If I want to upgrade to 16 gb ram, I either need to get a whole new set of 16 gb low profile ram (4x4), get 8x2 high profile, or mix ram and use my crucial in socket 2 and 4, and add some low profile ram in socket 1 and 3 (not an ideal scenario!). But for now 8 gb ram seems sufficient for gaming, so for now I'm fine. :)
