I rather plug them into the PSU like regualar fans. I read that these fans are PWM fans and should be connected to the motherboard for more control through the bios or software. Since this is my first build I rather not complicate things and plug them into the PSU.

I will probably be using a Corsair 500r or Fractal Define R4. I will have 3 SP 120 Fans and 2 AF 140 mm fans. Do i need to buy another piece since I have 5 fans and the case comes with only 2 fans? Do I need a molex connector? Would I need a fan controller to handle my fans since their plugged in the CPU?

Keep in mind the SP fans wont be on a radiator with a water cooler. In that case I know they would plugged into the 4 PIN CPU connector on the MOBO if I had a watercooler.

I will be using stock cooler for my CPU since im not overclocking.

I find fans the most confusing part about building a computer believe it or not. Thanks!
