It seems to be working properly, but in "this pc" it shows drive C: SSD ok and Drive F as 931GB (should be 1TB but whatever) and drive D which is a hard drive from an old computer with windows xp has 2.56gb free of 127gb??? Its only a 320GB drive. Makes no sense. How can I get this to look proper?

I was having a hard time getting drives F and D to separate, but I finally figured that out.

Thanks!

Solution
Well I'm not sure why half the drive is unallocated but to regain the space, right-click on the 128GB partition and select "extend partition"
Check the drives in the Disk Management console. In Windows 8 move the mouse pointer into the bottom left hand corner where the start hint appears, and to a right-click. You should get a menu of options including a link to Disk Management. What does that 320 drive in question look like in there?

It shows Drive D: the 320gb one in question quite normally... 128gb ntfs healthy 170gb unallocated. It was reading my 1TB empty drive wrong until I allocated it I think that's what I need to do right? I can select new simple volume but that sounds like making another drive which I don't want I just want to combine that with the healthy part which has data on it of drive D. Thanks for reading!

It looks good now, thank you! It even shows up in this PC properly.
