Hi, I'm going to be getting an extremely powerful PC for gaming off of Origin PC and I was wondering if I should go for 780 Ti 2 or 4 way SLI sooner or wait for probably another month or so for the 790 to be released to get one or two of them, for those who don't know the upcoming 790's leaked specs are that of 2 780 Ti's with an added 4Gb of VRAM, totaling 10Gb. I know this sounds like overkill but i'm looking at nvidia surround or 1440p at 144Hz on some newer games such as Battlefield 4, Star Citizen, Watchdogs and the slightly older Crysis 3.

Solution
780 ti sli will out preform a 790 so thats the best route to go and you can get a 780 ti now. SLi'ing the two best single gpu's has always been better then using a single dual gpu. In order to run 2 gpus on one pcb they have underclock them as two gpus generate alot of heat and there is only one cooler for both.

Thanks! I forgot they underclocked the GPUs in the dual cards so dual 780 ti's would be better :)
