So i have a amd 8120 cpu but i think its dieing slowly, my pc which has a new hard drive and graphics card (780ti) so i dont think its either of those and i was having this problem on my old graphics card to but anyways the computer is alot slower than when i first made it and it seems to freeze and skip now, plus my fps in games is pretty bad even games like minecraft which are mostly cpu based are getin only like 60 fps when i used to get 500+, anyone know if its the processor thats causing this

Solution
you might have vsnyc enabled on your nvidia control panel if so turn it off and check your cpu temps if they get too high the system will automatically underclock itself to get cooler so therefore your performance will drop. use coretemp to check cpu temps.

yeah i need to redo my cooling throughout my whole computer since one fan has died recently and the large 780ti stops the air from 2 fans from getin to the cpu

Ok...do not run this PC in games or on at all anymore. you are risking damaging the CPU

The CPU has underclocked itself to try and lower the temperatures. Get a new case, paste and cooler.
we'll be happy to help you.
