In terms of memory, I would not wait. DDR3 will be just as good for whatsoever app you are using. However, there is a caveaut to that. With the new boards comes a new socket/processor. That will be a much different story. In fact, An Intel rep I was speaking to made particular mention of a new instructions set and channel built onto the new processor with an advanced serial ata instruction and an advanced video controller that will totally decimate anything it comes against with a wrecking ball. That being said, in terms of cost it will be a lot more expensive. I am not sure however, what the real world performance is going to be out of the box or if its going to be worth it. Remember, they said DDR3 would have a huge impact on perforce and it didn't.
