Okay so this is my first time doing this, but.. I received a graphics card for my birthday and was curious if I could even make this work.

The graphics card is:

The power supply is:

My motherboard is the default one that comes with a Dell Inspiron 660.

Of course the first thing I noticed was the PCI that came with it was of a different build and using different ones did not power the card -- So I am doubting this will work.

So with that said, if it doesn't work, could anyone recommend a card of equal power that would actually work in this set up?

Yes, that's it. Card is a tight fit, but I've successfully put it in and have it hooked up. Had to replace the PCI-E cable that came with it, with one of the lines that came with the PSU. Everything fits properly, but I simply get no signal when I turn on my PC and have my monitor connected to the card.

That I did not do. I guess I should give that a shot. This is the first time I've had to deal with onboard graphics. Could you give me a runthrough on how to disable them?

Sorry for the delay. I couldn't find the bios option to disable the onboard, even though I shifted through most options. I may just be dense! Anyways, for the card itself? When it's hooked up, the fan runs and it's seated properly. As I stated, tight fit but it does fit with all of.. half an inch to spare. lol As it stands right now, PC is on with card in, but I'm still connected to the integrated. I don't see any windows warnings or the likes about new hardware being installed with the card inside.
