Hi, I have a HP laptop that is basically broken. I was planning on scrapping it for parts and using the hard drive with Windows 8 on it in a PC that I will build myself. I wanted to know if I can use that version of Windows because it seems to be licensed to HP (I think). When I look at the system specs it has a HP stamp next to the system information (processor, RAM, system type, and pen and touch controls)
