i just got a new gpu. pny nvidia geforce gt 630 2048 mb. I plugged it in and nothing happens. The fan doesn't even turn on. Why?? My pc falls right below the minimum requirements.. it says 350w PSU and 2 GB ram I have a 300 w PSU and 1.5 GB ram and I'm planning on getting a better PSU and maxing out the ram to 4 GB but I got the card first. What I've researched the card should still work to some degree but the fan doesn't even turn on. Is my mobo just to old for the card or what? Its an Intel D915GAG with pentium 4 2.93 GHz processor

well if the card says it needs a 350w power supply and you only have a 300w power supply then probably wont work -- as you can see.

also keep in mind that wattage rating is only part of the story - the real number is how many amps on the 12v line does the card need, and now much does your PSU put out. Ive see 400w PSU put out more power than 600w PSUs

grab a PSU upgrade to go with your graphics upgrade, and it should work much better.

I should probably add that awhile back I had a gforce 8600 card running on my PC, I tried to update the bios and it didn't go to smoothly, I had to pull the CMOS battery and move the jumper to get the bios back to normal, and that's when my old card stopped working.. help
