Essence STX not working in Windows 8.1

Hi All,

I have recently performed a clean install of Windows 8.1 Enterprise and installed the windows 8.1 driver for my Asus Essence STX card but i have no sound??

I have also tried the Unified drivers and i have the same issue.

I have Windows 7 which i dual boot with and the card works fine in there.

Any help is appreciated.

right click on the speaker icon in the tray and go to playback devices.
make sure that the right one is enabled
if it's already enabled open the driver software and try to set it up from there.

It sure does. No yellow exclamation mark. I think the driver is installed fine. Device manager says 'This device is working properly'.
