Motherboard does not detect graphics card?

So, a week ago, I tried to boot up my computer, but the graphics card gave no signal, just a blank screen. So I got a new one and tried with that. No signal. Now I check the computer's UEFI bios, and it says the slot I put the graphics card in was empty. I don't see any option to turn off the integrated graphics I was using. It is a MSI MPower Z87 board. What do I do? Should I get a new one? EDIT: I vaguely remember disabling something to do with the PCIe in the Device Manager the day before it broke down. But I can't seem to see it anymore. What do I do? Would reinstalling windows fix it?

It might be something else though; like a power problem... For troubleshooting's sake a bit more information would be helpful. Like gpu brand-model, PSU brand-model-wattage. Also make sure the gpu power cables are correctly connected. I've seen many system experts underestimated this and it turned out to be a poorly insterted cable. Ah, also try clearing c-mos.

My gpu is a new one I got today after warranty when I thought it was broken. It is a PNY 780 Ti XLR8. My motherboard I also got replaced today after warranty, an MSI MPower Z87. I still have the issue, so I think it may require a new windows install. I have checked to make sure that the power cables are plugged in firmly many times. I have a Corsair AX860 860 watt power supply. I don't know what to do, going to attempt a new windows install to perhaps fix the device manager somehow magically.

No, I can't unfortunately. Trying a new install with a new hard drive.

Yeah, even with the new hard drive it doesn't detect my graphics card. I'm just gonna return it and get a different brand of motherboard or something. Thanks for the help. I will be back!

So, I reinstalled windows on the new hard drive and got yet another motherboard, and now it says 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter' under Display Adapters in device manager, but there is no video from the card itself. Maybe I need drivers for it to work correctly? Going to install them now on the new windows.

No, I tried installing them but it said that the card could not be found. This is the third motherboard and third GPU as well as a new hard drive and everything has been replaced but the ram and processor, which I doubt is the issue.
