Looking for a new monitor, what's the ideal resolution for Radeon HD 5770?

Hello, hailing from the UK & use my PC mainly for internet nonsense, movies/TV and gaming. My current GPU is a Radeon HD 5770 and I'm looking to buy a new monitor. My current resolution is 1366x768, what resolution would you recommend so as not to sacrifice performance?

The GPU has 2 DVI-I inputs but I understand a variety of adapters are available so I assume this isn't really an issue (currently using a VGA to DVI adapter). I'm only looking to buy/support one monitor.

Also, do I really need to be worrying about refresh rates?

Feel free to recommend a brand you like, but I'm mainly worried about the ideal resolution and then I can work from there.

My budget is £100-£200

Thank you! :)

I will say 1920 x 1080 is safe side

Yeah, I'm aware that's the max resolution but I'm more concerned with how much bigger a resolution (from 1366x768) I can go without sacrificing performance.

Edit: If I can switch to anything up to the max resolution without sacrificing performance then great, my post was to find out if this was the case or not
