Hi everyone.

I have a desktop and it is almost unsuable.
Anything that use it for - such as internet browing - the CPU usage begins to ger very high (95% or more) and eventually shut down by it self.
I can't even think about games, because it just wont work (gets 1 fps if it doesnt tun off first).

Any idea what might be the problem? i thoght of drivers, bu on my painel control it seens like all the 8 cores are working fine...

Thank you very much in advance

The specs are:

Motherboard (ASROCK EXTREME 4 Z77 LGA 1155) SUPORTA PCI EXPRESS 3.0 + 32GB +OVER CLOCK+QUAD SLI + QUAD CROSS FIRE

PROCESSADOR INTEL I7 2600K 3.4~3.8 GHZ

GPU Vga Zotac Geforce Gtx 660 2gb Ddr5 Pci-expres

RAM 2X4GB 8GB TOTAL

HD 1TB SEAGATE 7200 RPM 32MB CACHE

HDSSD SSD 120 GB OCZ

COOLER MASTER GX-650W PFC ATIVO 80 PLUS "650 WATTS REAL".

Solution
Sounds like the heat sink is not connecting properly.
I would start by removing the CPU heatsink, wiping all the thermal paste, and re-applying. Remember a little goes a long way, all you need is a blob the size of a grain of rice.
See if that fixes it.
Also, try it with only 1 stick of RAM in the first slot, just to test.
