hi all,

still at the crossroads finding a nice upgrade to my i7 970 cosmos build...
i need a sleeeeek case capable of holding an x79 board, 2 high end gpus, one ssd and 2 hdds, and probably one bd rw.
i kinda link the idea behind the silverstone ft02' but in my opinion the case is tooo long, and the 5'25 covers look plain cheap.
i m also afraid of the stories of fitting a bd rom drive, which is absurd given the case size...

the rosewill legacy mx 2 looks neat, but falls short on gpu length.
silence is a must, since i use the computer for work too.....
i kinda like the corsair carbide air 540' but i wonder about the noise and in white i don t see a matchind bd drive front panel...

any other ideas, recommendations ?

the white looks cool, sort of...

what fans do you recommend for the carbide air ?
is it quieter than the fortress ?
more efficient regarding cooling ?
would a noise kit improve anything ?
lastly, is there a windowless version available ?

That makes sense and it will be quiter than the fortress, a lot more efficient because of the dual chamber.
You could add 4 of the Corsair af quiet edition( 3 in, 1 out) Also you can add a H100i for the CPU.(Tell me if you want to add one!)
Also there most likely is a windowless version.
