Recently built a new rig. I have an SSD as a boot drive with windows installed on it...also have a 1T HDD for other storage. BIOS recognizes both drives, but when I'm in windows the HDD is nowhere to be found? I make a document in notepad, but when I click "save as" only my SSD shows up as c drive and my HDD isn't even an option to save to? Any advice for me ??

Solution
Yes. Go to Start>Run>diskmgmt.msc>Enter which should bring up the Disk Management console. Does your HDD show here as "Unallocated"? If so, right click on it in the lower pane and select "New Simple Volume". Follow the steps in the Wizard to partition, format the HDD and assign a drive letter to it.
