Can't Run Windows In Normal Mode Only Safe Mode

Alright, so i'll try to be brief about the situation here.

First off, It's only been a day since the problem occurred and I've been trying to it ever since. My friend wanted me to download this "MMO" called Star-wars: The Old Republic, don't get me wrong. I've searched everything to help me fix this problem. I've searched the community forums (for the game) and numerous websites regarding the issue. It only happened when I downloaded the game and launched it.

Here's what I've tried:

  • - Deleting the graphic card "ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO".
    - Tried to restore system to no avail. (No restore points)
    - Deleting the game in Safe Mode
    - Pressing tab in normal mode and doing things blindingly (Obviously, didn't work.)

I'm weary about the situation and not really good with computers to do much, I don't want to harm my computer anymore than it needs to be. So, I took a look at this website and read numerous threads similar to my predicament and it works when I delete my "Graphic's Card" but when I re-install it, it doesn't work. My resolution is 1360 x 786

So, I ask you guys for information regarding this issue of mine, because frankly I can't figure out what to do.

Hi

Have you tried uninstalling the AMD Radeon driver software from program & features
Rebooting and then downloading uptodate driver package

Did you delete Radeon from device manager which is a bad idea

If by deleting you mean deleting files & folders using Explorer this is a bad idea you should always use uninstall which is usually via program & features


Have you tried creating a new user account , restarting and seeing if you can log in in normal mode

Once you have started in normal mode re install the Radeon driver suite

Mbarnes86, I've tried looking for the AMD Radeon diver software in program & features but I didn't find it. I did delete it from the device manager to get it to work, and it does, the only problem is when I re-install it, It doesn't work. I've also uninstalled the game using the program & features, nothing else. I've also tried editing the games file before deleting it to see if it would work, it didn't.

It didn't work.

Back to the driver:

When I do uninstall it from device manager it works but it has the same resolution from safe-mode which really bothers me, but I can cope with it until the problem is dealt with. Also to add, It also lets me get in normal mode when I remove it and when I log into my user account it then proceeds to re-download it and tell's me to restart. I've did this two times and it didn't work.

Are you using the Microsoft driver or the AMD driver from AMD website?
You said the driver is downloaded from Microsoft updates

I assumed you had the full AMD version which can be uninstalled from Programs & Features

With safe mode including Network you can go on line & get the full AMD version
