Need more detail. What CPU you are using? Are you overclocking it? How are you reading/taking temps? Since when this problem started

Sorry just realised I didn't post details :/
My GPU is r9 290x (stock) and this is causing the problems for me. My CPU is i5 4670k (haswel)
I stick this all in a zalman z11 and then get an inferno. However I'd didn't realise how hot it was till about a month ago.
Im thinking about going water cooling
So I need some help.
External OR internal (would need to buy a new case) ?
What components ?
I need some help with these things

You've not answered one crucial question: What temps readings are and how are you reading these values?

I'm not over clocking currently as I fear that the current temps are too high to risk it. However I intend to overclock when the problem is solved

change your GPU stock cooler with an arctic accelero Xtreme III because the R9 290X stock cooler is the worst

Is there any potential risks in changing the cooler from the stock to the accelero

Ok dear, I don't get the answer if 95 is in Celsius then it is very alarming. You should immediately change its stock cooler with aftermarket cooler.

it will just void your cards warranty

Is this new card in warranty? If so RMA it and submit your feedback on the manufacturer website as this has become a common issue on R9 290X.
