We burned a video file to a DVD from windows 8. We can view the file fine on the computer but my DVD player cannot read it. Why would that be? Does Windows 8 not format DVDs so they can be played on DVD players?
First, your video file has to be in MPEG 2 format. Check your video file if this is the case. Second your DVD disc structure must have the DVD video standard. Your disc must have a Video_TS folder in it with VOB files. You have to convert your video file to mpeg and then you must burn this file to a DVD disc with Nero as DVD Video.
