My laptop is 4 months old.
Model is: S7-392

Yesterday it started making very quiet ticking sounds every 5 seconds.

Fanspeed shows no error, Sentinel shows health perfect, chkdsk shows no problems also.

Can't think of anything that happened recently that could damage the HD. It's SSD, if that makes a difference.

Any ideas?

are you sure it's the SSD? An SSD doesn't have any moving parts, it can't tick. Either their is a cockroach living inside the SSD, it's going to blow up, or it's your laptop fan making the ticking sound or something else, but an SSD can't tick, it just can't, no moving parts, it's like saying a brick is ticking.

Of course I am sure it's an SSD. just Google up the model. it's a very high end ultrabook :)

the ticking stops at some times.
I didn't check the fan option yet. Is there a way to test it without opening the laptop physically?

Thanks
