How to use dedicated graphics for excel

Hello,

I am working in excel and due to a number of charts,it becomes very slow. I would like to use my dedicated graphic card (NVidia GeForce 630M) when working in excel but the NVidia control panel does not let me choose NVidia when I select excel. My integrated graphics are automatically selected and I cannot change it.
Does anyone have an idea how to do this?

Thank you

That is due to your CPU, not your GPU. In order to use dedicated graphics just plug the monitor into your graphics card instead of your motherboard.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have a laptop, so monitor being plugged in in a wrong spot is not an issue. I found out that all windows applications (MS office etc) always run with Intel graphics, and it is possible to choose between integrated and dedicated graphics only for the other, third party programs . So there is no solution for my problem really.

i don't think you understand. thw only applications that can make use of the gpu (any gpu) for computing is video editing such as premier pro. well yes there are CAD programs . . and you can set "profiles" for gaming.

BUT when it comes to office desktop applications; those are dependent on your cpu and RAM. if you are experincing slow down, then you need to look towards those to improve the performance. and since you're using a laptop - the only option would be to increase the amount of RAM.
