I currently have a single 680 2gb card. When i brought the card the plan was to upgrade to sli at a later date and skip the 700 series. However I never got around to it because a single 680 was just fine, but I find myself increasingly in need of more vram.
I was going to buy another 680 this week, but I don't know much about vram other then more is better. So after looking around I get the impression that upgrading to 680 2gb in sli would still only give me 2GB of vram as would a 690 and the new 790 coming out soon would only give me 3gb even it's meant to have 6gb due gpu's not being able to share vram or something? How does it work? And what's my best option?
