Hi everyone.

I have a Clevo P170SM laptop, it came with a 120GB Kingston Hyperx SSD and I replaced it with a 500GB Samsung 840.

When I put the Samsung SSD in, it fits pretty snugly but when I lift the laptop up or move it around, the SSD rattles. I can hear the SSD case hitting against the inside of the tray.
I've made sure that the SSD is connected properly.

I noticed that the Samsung SSD is noticeably lighter than the Kingston, the case is made of plastic rather than metal. The Kingston SSD doesn't rattle, it seems to sit firmly in the tray.

I'm worried that the constant rattling of the SSD will wear out the connections, will there be a problem or is it OK to leave it as it is?

They have exactly the same dimensions. The only difference is the weight.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll use velcro or something to stop the annoying noise but not worry about it.
