I am transferring my PC from a CM Storm Stryker to the Corsair Carbide Air 540 case, and was wondering about the best way to setup my fans. The case is very open, so I'd assume positive pressure would be a good idea to keep out ambient dust. That being said, I also have to worry about where to place my Kraken X60 and how to keep the case cool with my GTX 690 dumping heat inside the case. I am also ordering dust filters for the bottom of the case (lots of holes but no fan mounts) and for the PSU intake.

Front: 3 120mm fans or 2 140mm fans

Top: 2 120mm fans or 2 140mm fans

Back: 1 120mm fans or 1 140mm fan

dust filters keep dust out of cases, you still get dust regardless of positive or negative air flow in the case.

140mm fans move more air at lower speeds then 120mm, other then that either set up will do the job as you have more then enough fans to move air in and out of the case. Personally, I prefer 140mm fans as they make less noise
