Comparing graphics cards

I am building a gaming PC for myself, after choosing all the suitable components except graphics card, I have enough money to buy nvidia GeForce gtx650 2GB or Radeon GD7790 1GB. I would like to know which of the 2 mentioned graphics card is better and why.

7790, it's a stronger card overall, if you compare direct hardware it's better, and if you compare benchmarks it's better.

if you can, get the R7 260x instead, it's an upgraded version of the HD 7790 and isn't much difference in cost IIRC
