A question about GPU cooling

I am building a semi-gaming rig into a custom case. I am looking at the R7-260X, and would like to know about the cooling so I can really get it right.

So there's a huge fan on the top, and a vent on the side connecter plate (I don't know the name for this plate, the one with HDMI, VGA etc).

I think the air goes in the top fan, and comes out the side vent.

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks

Usually the air comes in through the top fan and exhausts out the back and sides. The manufacturer is the one who decides this. Can you link the specific card you want. The cooling on the card should be sufficient for a gaming or even a small coin mining rig so you don't really need to worry.
