Looking to upgrade my system since my laptop is getting lines. I am thinking of going back to a tower with a separate monitor from 23-27 inches. Have to choose between Lcd and Led. I don't change often and am looking for longevity...

Thank you all

LED or LCD doesn't matter for longevity.

Thanks for the reply. A follow up question here. Will the pixels of one stay better than the other.? I am told that an LED is really an LCD with LED backlighting? Whats the story, I get different answers. Thanks

This is correct. Reliable manufacturer and warranty matters much, much more than which technology.

There's no such thing as a LED monitor. (Except OLED, but they still cost upwards of $10k)

There are LCD monitors with CCFL backlights and LCD monitors with LED backlights. CCFL traditionally gives slightly better quality at the expense of power consumption, but nowadays, there's not really any difference.
