J jimpz Distinguished Jan 20, 2012 802 0 19,360 Feb 28, 2014 #7 Basically you want to use matched pairs, to take advantage of the Dual Channel aspect of the mobo & the memory. Occasionally different memory may cause 'subtle' problems (things unexplained) but it will probably work. Upvote 0 Downvote
