Brand new mobo. Upgraded to latest BIOS, disabled Quiet option, reseated Memory, CPU and fan. Tried two different video cards, tried two different memory sticks (1066 and 1600 ). No post no video. Fans spin, mobo light is on but memory light does not. Tried a new and an used FX8320, same result. TRIED SEMPRON CPU AND MACHINE BOOTS UP WITH ANY CONFIGURATION, does not matter video card or memory stick, it boots just fine. I ran out of ideas, please help :(

the fx8320 has an am3+ socket type and the sempron has am3. How are you doing that? am3+ socket chips shouldn't be used on am3 socket boards.
I did some research and found that with an updated bios (which I see you said you did) it can work on some boards:

This said, it sounds like it's not recommended. It could be simply that the fx chips while they should work with certain am3 boards with the right bios that there may be a lack of continued support by amd or something else. The fact that it boots up fine with the am3 sempron chip says a lot. If you really like your 8320 perhaps upgrade your mobo? Sorry I don't have better info atm. Hopefully someone can chime in something...

Funny thing is that there are people not able to run this build, I've seen this happening on several boards , there are others that are able to run it out of the box. Another interesting thing is that it happens with 95+ watts CPUs, any CPU below that is able to run without a problem. No clue what could be happening

No problem running the Bios update for the M5A97 LE R2 on a M5A97 R2? Only difference is that the M5A97 R2 comes with heatsink on the VRM, LE doesn't. So basically the BIOS should work?
