Recently, When I I boot up into windows 8 and try to log in my coputer freezes, gives me a DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION bluescreen and reboots just fine. This happens every single time I boot into Windows and I can't figure out why. This is the what dell pc doctor gives as the "Task Required" 0x00000133_0x0000000000000000__0x0000000000000501__0x0000000000000500__0x0000000000000000_C__Windows_system32_drivers_nvlddmkm_sys, 0x00000133_0x0000000000000000__0x0000000000000501__0x0000000000000500__0x0000000000000000_C__Windows_system32_drivers_hamdrv_sys

I don't know how to solve the problem, and it seems to happen everytime I boot up.

Solution
-the first one is cause by nvidia graphics adapter drivers . update them directly from nividia
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

-the second on is cause by LogMeIn driver (remove the software) They went to a paid service, no more free version.

if the logMeIn software is a has a delayed start you might have serveral minutes to remove it before it bugchecks.
boot, login, go directly to control panel, and uninstall the program, and reboot before the bugcheck comes.
if that does not work you will have to boot into safe mode to fix the problem. (SHIFT+F8 while attempting to boot)

windows 8 is a piece of shit. I've reinstalled and lost all my saved data, programs and its already crashed on me and is slow as fuk and still has issues. It's not even programmed right. When it asks you whether you want to keep your files or keep nothing, it still backs up all files even if you choose keep nothing. It's done this both times i installed it.

- You did not seem propose a solution to the orginal post problem
- You have not requested help yourself
- You have stated a opinion, Please start another thread if you really want to do that.

Windows 8.1 i mean, perhaps Windows 8 is ok, but 8.1 is unusable. Do you use 8.1? I have tried almost everything to stop it from bluescreening to the point where one should not spend anymore time doing so. This problem is obviously universal. due to the number of thread searches i have made. All my hardware is brand new and is secured properly. I have no choice but to try a new OS with a clean HD. I even rang up microsoft support and they told me to take it to my local technician as it must be my fault because i built the comp myself.

edit:
lots of people get windows 8.1 downloaded from the internet after they get it installed they really must run
a command to confirm that their copy of key windows files were not corrupted as the files were placed on their machine. Network drivers can corrupt files during the copy process, incorrect voltages to the memory controller can result in corrupt files, bad drivers for hard drive controllers can cause corruption. Some people use USB thumb drives to install the OS. the drives have high error rates and cause corruption. People even think it is better to use the USB 3.0 port and don't realize that a lot of the drivers for them have issues.

It is always worth the time to check for file corruption after you install the OS, it is pretty simple
you start cmd.exe as a admin (windows key+x +A)
then run
sfc.exe /scannow (this will check and repair any core windows file)

if the above command finds a error it can not fix, you can then use
the dism.exe command
dism.exe /online /check-image /restorehealth

this command will go to a trusted online copy of the file and get it and put a non corrupted copy into your driverstore as a backup.
(I never trust it and reboot and run the sfc.exe /scannow command to confirm the corruption is gone)

yep, I am running windows 8.1 on my machines. Just never had a problem with it.
generally, I find that a machine i build myself has the best chance of working correctly with windows 8.1.

I find that screwy laptops with custom hardware have most of the hard to fix issues.

you should post your actual problem for your blue screen, if you have a crash dump file they are often pretty easy to figure out with a debugger. The most common problem I see with a new build is incorrectly detected memory settings by the BIOS. When you set them correctly the machine just starts working.
but It is just hard to tell and most people will just tell you to run memtest86 on a CD to prove your machine is ok before they start looking for windows problems with your hardware.

Im doing a factory reset, thats if that works. Which according to microsoft will wipe everything and back up nothing at all. Yet it wouldnt surprise me if it still backs up something. Instead of then installing all the mobo drivers Im gonna just install the gpu drivers then just leave windows update and see if it updates the rest. If it is a driver issue it could be the clash of the mobo drivers with windows drivers and updates. On my last machine I installed windows 7 on a new hd. I didnt install any drivers from website or disc other than gpu drivers. I just let windows do its thing and I didnt get any crashes or issues at all. This may not work but worth a try.

be sure to throw a few reboots into the mix, some of the drivers get queue up to install on the reboot.
and be sure not to mix a install of a vendors graphics driver using a vendors installer with a pending install of the same graphics driver from windows update. (reboot before and after you do the graphics driver update to be safe)
