Hi I am searching for a new mouse, the one I have now is really old. Main things I am searching for in a mouse are comfort and gaming optimized. I do not do any mmo gaming so I do not need to many customizable keys. I have mostly been looking at the razor mamba and razor death adder. Any suggestions in terms of other mouses to look at and notes to keep in mind about the death adder and mamba?

Thanks :).

Mouse acceleration reduces the sensitivity at low speeds and increases it at high speeds.
It is designed to assist with low resolution mice so that you can carefully move a few pixels when editing an image or move from one side of the desktop in one sweep.
Gaming mice have much higher resolution, and you will find the cursor tracks far more accurately with mouse acceleration disabled.

While on the topic of resolution, the default for my version of the Deathadder is 1800 dpi, with a maximum of 3500 dpi, and there are versions with 6400 dpi. I find anything over 1800 dpi is too sensitive.

I think my mouse mat is the standard version. This is just the look of the mat anyway, so pick the one you like.

I have the Razer Deathadder and am very happy with it.
It is a large mouse that fits very comfortably in your hand.
Weight is good and it is very responsive.

Tips for any of these mice:
Get a good mouse mat. I use a Razer Goliathus Control Medium (254mm x 355mm or 10" x 13.98').
Disable mouse acceleration in Windows and any games that offer it as a configuration option.

Deathadder does seem awsome. Reviews of the Mamba scare me. I am going to get a razer mouse pad as well. What is mouse acceleration? Which edition of the razer goliathus mouse mat do you have the omega, alpha, or standard?

I chose the control version over the speed version. It feels rougher, but gives you better control (hence the name).
The medium size gives you plenty of room to move the mouse. The larger mats will end up at least partially under your keyboard. The small is like a standard cheapo mouse mat size.
