how much will a gtx 680 bottleneck my cpu

I just bought a gtx 680 used for $250 from a friend, but I don't have the money to upgrade my CPU yet, an I want you opinion on how bad a 680 will bottleneck a celeron g540, and will I still be able to play games optimized for dual cores until I buy a quad core. ( I already have a 600w PSU so no worries on power)

well it matters what u were running before the 680, there will be an obvious bottleneck but again if u started with intel hd graphics it will be an improvement until u upgrade the cpu. A bottleneck doesnt make a system worse, it just drastically underpowers and kind of wastes the processing of the gpu in ur case, so it wont be near max usage and will hit a wall once the cpu hits 100%.

It will be pretty bottlenecked I would look into a i5 3570k which is the best CPU for the LGA1155 socket in terms of gaming

I'm coming from a gtx 610 so anything is a sure improvement, so I'll still be able to play games like modded fallout 3 and Vegas until I get a quad core i5

Yes you will and if the cpu wasnt maxxed before than u may see improvement and a whole boat load of gain after a cpu change.
