I have a 144 Hz monitor and I really enjoy the amount of smoothness I get when playing some games and really want to get the most out of the monitor itself.

I currently have a single EVGA reference 780 (looks great, performs well) but was curious if it would drastically increase my frame rates on higher end games.

I'm also on a 4770k and I heard from a friend that it allows you to run SLI on x16 on both cards as long as they are on the north bridge, even though the motherboard may say it runs x8.

I really don't want to hear about how it's overkill to have more than 60 frames, I just want to know if I will actually get something better performance-wise with my configuration.

I'm not really looking for a relative performance, I am just curious of the raw frame rates that I would be getting. I know I can look up benchmarks for a SLI'd 780s at 1080p, but I'm curious more so I guess with my PCIe lanes slowing down the cards.
