Okay so I recently purchased this card:

XFX AMD Radeon HD7950 3 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/2x Mini Display Port PCI-Express Video Card (FX795ATDFC)

Currently I have an hdmi cable running to my 32" tv, everything works fine. I have a monitor being delivered that has hdmi, displayport, and a dvi connection. I want to have this monitor as my main screen, and have my tv as an extra screen for movies and such. Would it be better to just run and hdmi from my pc to my tv, or a mini display to a regular display port?

Solution
If you're sticking with digital (DP, HDMI, or DVI), they're all equal quality. Doesn't matter.

That said, I'd probably run HDMI to the TV and mini-DP to DP to the new display, because HD7xxx cards can only do two non-DP screens at a time, so that leaves you open for another monitor.

Thanks for the reply! So if I do mini-dp to dp to my new display (which will be for everything besides movies, mainly gaming), then it will be equal quality like you said right? I just want to get the most out of the card I can get for gaming cable wise.
