Hi guys,
2 questions, I am considering do a clean install of windows on a Delll inspiron n5110 due to the amount of viruses and other crap on the hard drive, even after de-fragmenting. If I am going to proceed, will windows 7 reactivate Automaticly as the product key is bound to the motherboard. if not, does anyone know where I can find?

Second Question: Does office behave the same way? I have an office 2010 proffesional (the one with all the programs) however I have lost my product key and install disk. is there any way to remove this from the computer on a USB and re-install later, or is there a place where I can find the product key?

Thanks,

Solution
You can download Office 2010 installation media from here - http://office.com/backup

Scroll down to Download or get a backup for Office 2010 and press download. However you need to enter a product key.

There are ways to retrieve your product key from the registry but I'm not 100% if I can describe this due to forum rules. I'l be back soon after reading them!

There should be a Windows product key on a sticker somewhere on your laptop, often under the battery. You can use this for a clean install if you don't want to use the recovery partition. You will have to source and install drivers manually though.

EDIT
Ok I can't see anything that prevents me from posting this in the rules. You legitimately (at least I assume so) own this...
If you are going to perform a Dell factory Recovery, there will be no need to reactivate Windows. Factory OEM installations are already activated.

If you've lost your Office install disc, you're basically stuffed. You can't re-install without it, so getting it's key from where it's recorded in Windows is quite pointless.

Download Magical Jellybean Keyfinder, the free version, and run it. Should pick up your product key from the registry,
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/

It will also find a Windows product key - ignore it. This will be the pre-installed OEM key and you can't use it for a re-install.
