Video icon changed from screen shot of the video to a standard windows one on all

Hi there I have loads of videos on my computer if I go to my videos it used to show an image from the video so you could spot the video you wanted quick.........

But now it just shows a windows icon saying AVI (if avi one) with image of air balloons or MPEG with the balloon if MPEG one on all of them......

basically how do I get it back to show and image of what video it is ?????

In the folder window, click the "view options" icon at top-right, choose one of these: "Small Icons", Large Icons" or Extra Large Icons".

Yes that will change whether its shown as large, medium, small, details, list etc BUT not change what icon is shown as in the image its still the balloon image regardless and not a image from the video its self but thanks.
