Basically what the title says. Should i get the gtx 690 or the gtx 780 ti superclcoked gigabyte ghz edition. To me prices don't matter. I will be gaming at 1440p and i will mostly be using my gpu for extreme gaming, video editing and for doing high end projects. Also, all my games and software support dual gpu.

Thank you

:)

780ti, 690 is perhaps a frame or two faster if at all, and it wont scale as well, since its still kind of sli, so go for 780ti it will be alot better choice

Opt for 780Ti its a single GPU card (and indeed the fastest one regardless of costly Titan) while 690 is a dual GPU solution on single board which is often accompanied by stuttering and problems with drivers and various games.

Cooler, quieter, lower power consumption, no hassles with SLI. Another vote for the 780Ti.

I have a GTX 690. And I have no problems with drivers or anything. The stuttering can easily be removed with the Adaptive V-sync.

the evga 780 ti classified kingpin clocked to about 1.35ghz on the core will take a stock 690/7990 with far less noise and power consumption, not to mention no sli issues. just get that, put in a skynet custom bios, use the evga classified voltage tool to get around 1.3v vcore, and you will have no problem getting to 1.35ghz core 7200mhz mem. if you want to waterblock it you can get the core voltage up as high as 1.5v vcore and probably get 1.6ghz core speed out of it.

Did you consider waiting for the Titan Black edition that is rumored to be released FEB 18?

This is not even hard... the 780 ti is really the right choice to make. 690 is also a previous gen card and i'd stay away from older cards with such a budget. And as said many times before, you avoid a lot of issues by going single GPU

Cheers
